Well, I gotta move. Again. We moved 2 1/2 years ago for my husband to take a job and we just received the news that the job is coming to an end in May. I’m a senior move specialist who specializes in transitioning seniors to new homes and now it’s MY turn to move. A friend suggested that I use this blog as a way to talk about the logistics and challenges we will be facing. Maybe you can relate. Maybe my mind is similar to yours. Maybe by writing my thoughts out, I can enhance my empathy for my clients.
And, of course, the move has come at an inopportune time. But is there really ever a good time to move? We feel like we just got settled in. Wouldn’t 5 years from now be a better time? Pedagogically, I have been taught that there is no such thing as a good or bad time. Good and bad are just interpretations we make up to help us process what happens in our lives – good and bad. It’s a good time. It’s a bad time. It is, in fact, what it is. It is just time.
So, I now mourn the loss of a place we were just beginning to know and turn my face to create a new home. We are all creative beings. Creativity begins with imagining. I will imagine . . . stay tuned.
