FAQs

Since senior move management is a new concept for some people, we have compiled a few answers to questions you may have. Please contact us directly if there is anything else we can answer for you.

What Is A Senior Move Manager?

A Senior Move Manager® is a professional who specializes in assisting older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation and/or “aging in place”. To be considered a Senior Move Manager, you must be a member of NASMM. Here to Home has been a member in good standing since 2008. Click on the logo below to learn more.

How Much Do These Services Cost?

Our services vary and we charge very simply: time and materials. Since every move is different, we come by for a free one-hour consultation and will give you a written estimate.

Do I Have To Use All These Services?

Use only the services you need. Ethically, we feel obliged to tell you everything it takes to get your move accomplished. We will estimate a cost to the tasks we or other service providers perform. If you prefer to do any of these tasks yourself, that’s fine, you only contract with us for the services you want to use.

What If I’m Moving Out Of State?

If you are moving out of state (or into North Carolina) we know many of our colleagues in other states who can successfully set up the move or receive your move.

Are There Industry Standards?

Yes. We follow the ethical guidelines set out by NASMM. There are too many to list here, but click on the NASMM logo below and search for “Ethics” on their website.
